Western Sydney’s business community is being challenged to swap boardrooms for bikes when Variety Spin 4 Kids Western Sydney takes over Parramatta Square on Friday 24 July.
The three-hour corporate cycling challenge will bring together workplaces from across the region to compete for the coveted title of Kings and Queens of Spin, while raising vital funds for children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.
Held from 10am to 1pm, teams of up to 10 people will take turns on stationary bikes, working together to clock up the greatest distance while fundraising to help kids live without limits.
Variety NSW/ACT CEO Tony Warner said Spin 4 Kids Western Sydney is a unique opportunity for businesses to give back while strengthening team culture.
“Western Sydney is home to some of Australia’s most innovative businesses and community-minded leaders. Spin 4 Kids brings them together for a fun, energetic challenge that delivers a real impact for children and families doing it tough,” he said.
“Every kilometre pedalled and every dollar raised helps Variety provide practical support to children and families in need. Whether that’s life-changing equipment, therapy or inclusive experiences, the funds raised help kids reach their full potential.”
Participants can expect a high-energy atmosphere featuring professional spin instructors, music, prizes, costumes and plenty of friendly rivalry between teams. Businesses, community groups and local organisations are encouraged to register a team and start fundraising ahead of the event.
