A young athlete on the rise, Julio shares his gratitude for the support he has received through the Variety Heart Scholarship Program.
I have been fortunate to receive this scholarship since 2018, and it has made an incredible difference to my figure skating journey.
The financial support has helped cover competition entry fees and travel expenses, allowing me to attend competitions that may not have been possible otherwise.
Figure skating is a sport that requires a significant financial commitment, and your generosity has helped ease that burden for my family.
Because of your support, I have been able to focus on training, improving my skills, and pursuing my goals both on and off the ice.
Since receiving the scholarship, I have achieved several milestones that I am incredibly proud of. I represented Australia at the Junior Grand Prix, where I finished 11th, had the honour of competing at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships, and am now the current Australian Senior Figure Skating Champion.
These achievements would not have been possible without the opportunities your support has provided.
Over the years, I have grown not only as a skater but also as a person. The opportunities I have had through competing have taught me discipline, resilience, and confidence.
The Variety Heart Scholarship has played a significant role in helping me reach these milestones, and I am truly grateful to have had your support throughout my journey.
