Individual Grants We Offer
Mobility Equipment Grants
This grant funds specialist disability equipment that is not easily available through statutory services such as the NDIS. This life-changing equipment increases physical development, independence and social inclusion.

Grant Guidelines
Therapy Grants
This grant provides financial assistance towards therapy costs to assist children that have been diagnosed with a condition and are ineligible for NDIS support. The grant is up to the value of $2000 over a twelve-month period.
Applications for the Therapy Grant are open all year round.
Wig Grants
Variety provides wigs to kids who have lost their hair due to alopecia or another medical condition that results in permanent hair loss. Losing your hair can have profound psychological effects, particularly through childhood and adolescence. One specialised wig can cost up to $6,000 and lasts two to three years so the cost is prohibitive for many families.
Applications for the Wig Grant are open all year round.
Variety Heart Scholarships
Variety Heart Scholarships support kids with a demonstrated talent who are living with a disability, chronic illness or financial hardship, to pursue their dreams and realise their potential. Scholarships are awarded in the areas of Sport and The Arts. Some past recipients have gone on to represent Australia on the world stage, whilst others have simply needed help to reach the next stage of development in their talent.
Variety Heart Scholarships are made possible by the support of our partners, The Grahame Mapp Family Foundation in honour of the late Gillian Mapp.
The Variety Heart Scholarships are now open for applications. Applications close 4pm Thursday 21 May 2026.

Boost Grants
The Variety Boost Grant provides secondary-aged students in Out of Home Care (OOHC) with one-time financial support of up to $2,000.
This funding helps young people achieve their goals in education, career support, health and wellbeing, life skills or community connection.
The Variety Boost Grant empowers young individuals to thrive and build a positive future.

Community Grants We Offer
Motoring Events Grants
By invitation only, schools and community groups along a Variety Motoring Event route can apply for a dedicated grant. Variety Motoring Events contribute a range of items, from chicken coops to swing sets to iPads to support kids in regional and remote parts of our beautiful country.

Community Grants
Variety NSW/ACT Community Grants provide one-off support to help bring to life projects, programs or equipment that make a real difference in how kids, play, learn and take part in community life. This grant supports community groups, local clubs, schools and grassroots organisations that are breaking down barriers and creating inclusive, accessible opportunities for kids aged 0 – 18 who are living with disability, facing disadvantage, or experiencing isolation.

Sunshine Coaches
Variety Sunshine Coaches support schools and organisations to purchase an accessible coach, enabling children living with disability, chronic illness, financial hardship or geographical isolation to attend school, community activities and events, and experience the connection, inclusion, and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
Variety Sunshine Coaches can be fitted with wheelchair modifications, ensuring that all children can attend excursion and extra-curricular activities together.
