At Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT, we make sure children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability can access the care and opportunities they deserve.
Every child’s journey is different and so is the way we help.
Through grants, scholarships, programs and experiences, we help open up access to essential services, equipment, education and life-changing opportunities. Our support helps children take part at home, at school and in the community, while improving health and wellbeing and easing financial pressure on families.
Individual Grants
We support children and families facing challenges by providing access to therapies and practical equipment and resources that make everyday life easier. This may include mobility equipment, technology and other supports that help kids live, learn and play more independently.
Variety Heart Scholarships help children and young people aged 8–18, with a demonstrated talent in sport or the arts, follow their dreams. We support kids living with disability, chronic illness, financial hardship by helping cover the costs that might otherwise stand in the way.
We support schools, not-for-profits and community groups that work with kids in need. Our grants help fund equipment, technology, educational resources and other tools that make programs more inclusive and accessible for the children they support.
We deliver outreach services, inclusive programs and school initiatives that build confidence, skills and belonging, while promoting disability awareness and inclusion in our community.
Variety Kids’ Experiences give children facing disability, disadvantage or hardship the chance to enjoy special activities and events they may not otherwise have access to — creating moments of fun, connection and unforgettable memories.
Our support may not be unique, but the breadth and depth of what we provide for children is truly unmatched.
