Woolworths and Variety History
Woolworths have been in partnership with Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT since 2013 and have facilitated raising an outstanding $15 million through their customers for kids in need in Australia. The passion of Woolies teams can be seen in stores all across NSW & ACT. From sausage sizzles to bake sales, bucket collections, token sales and fresh community fairs, there’s a whole host of dedicated team members willing to go above and beyond and raise vital funds for Variety and the children we support.
We are so proud of long-term partnership with the Woolworths family, who have been part of the Variety community since 2013.
Every year we are blown away by the generosity of Woolworth’s teams and customers as they continue to fundraise tirelessly for kids in need.

The Impact
On behalf of all the children we support who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability, we wholeheartedly thank Woolworths customers and team members for their incredible ongoing support. Every donation has contributed to a milestone that would not have been possible without their kindness.
Like Woolworths, Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT exists to serve the community; to understand and respond to their ever-changing needs. It is this alignment of purpose that has ensured an enduring partnership, built on shared values and providing support where it is needed most.
Through our partnership, Woolworths have amplified the voice of Variety across NSW and ACT in advocating for the needs of children and supporting them to reach their goals. Every time a customer agrees to support Variety, or a Woolworths team member takes part in a fundraising initiative, they have supported the aspirations of those children.
As we look towards the future, we know that together we can make a lasting difference in the lives of children facing adversity, empowering them to overcome challenges and live without limits.
Team WOW Woolworths is back for the 2026 NSW Bash
Team WOW made its NSW Bash debut in 2021 as the Woolie-saurus, driving through regional NSW to raise funds for kids in need. Fast forward to 2026 and the Team WOW are back again raising funds for another NSW Bash!
Throughout the NSW Bash weeks, Woolworths stores along the route donate supplies to the local schools the Bashers stop at to feed the crowds; with Woolworths team members getting up early to help run the vital breakfast barbecues. Woolworths customers are able to support the team during the Bash by rounding up at all self-serve checkouts in all stores around NSW and ACT. The Woolies team are running a competition this year to see who get’s seats in the Woolie-saurus this year. What legends!
